Field Notes:
7/14/10-7/27/10: Kringle has gone from Banana River to Indian River, first going south to the 405 bridge area on Friday, 7/16/10, and then north to the northernmost part of the river on Wednesday, 7/21/10.
6/19/10-6/29/10: Kringle has moved from the 528 bridge to the northernmost area of Banana River this week.
6/10/10 – 6/18/10: Kringle stayed on the east coast of Banana River south of the 528 bridge this week.
6/02/10 – 6/09/10: Kringle was south of the 528 bridge in Banana River early in the week, then moved north and ended the week on the west coast of the river north of the bridge.
5/25/10 – 6/01/10: Kringle was observed on Wednesday, 5/26/10, on the east coast of Banana River south of the 528 bridge. He was moving around in a shallow Idle Speed area near shore and it was not possible to determine if he was within a group of other animals, but there were many other manatees in the area.
5/18/10-5/24/10:
Kringle was re-released into a small cove on the west side of Indian River on Tuesday, 5/18/10, with a large group of manatees nearby to socialize with. Later that week he moved across Indian River to the east side near Cape Canaveral.

: Kringle was released on Monday, 2/08/10, in Melbourne, FL, by Disney's The Living Seas, FWC, and Sea to Shore Alliance. He began traveling north up the Intracoastal, but turned south on Wednesday, 2/10/10, and by Friday, 2/12/10, he was in Sebastian River. On Saturday, 2/13/10, he passed under the Wabasso/510 bridge, but by Sunday he was pacing near Sebastian Inlet in cold water. FWC and Sea To Shore organized a capture on Sunday, 2/14/10, and tracked him as he traveled around the area, capturing him that afternoon and releasing him near FPL Cape Canaveral power plant. After a minute at the ramp he headed for its warm water discharge and has remained there since then.

3/01/10-3/08/10: Kringle was milling and socializing in #2 discharge at the Cape Canaveral power plant on Wednesday, 3/03/10.
3/09/10-3/15/10:
Kringle traveled south on Tuesday, 3/09/10, along the western shore of Merritt Island, reaching Indian River on Friday, 3/12/10. He returned to the Cape Canaveral power plant on Sunday, 3/14/10.
3/16/10-3/23/10:
Kringle traveled with one or two other animals outside the entrance to Sam’s Creek on Merritt Island. An in-water body condition was attempted but only his dorsal surface was seen, and the edges and top of his tail showed some cold stress signs. Sea To Shore plans to continue getting weekly visuals on Kringle.
3/24/10-3/31/10:
Kringle was observed on Friday, 3/26/10, in Manatee Cove on the east coast of Indian River with about 25 other animals. Bits of floating and bottom vegetation were available in the area, and Kringle and some of the other animals fed and socialized. He had some cold stress spots similar to many of the animals in the area.
4/01/10-4/06/10:
Kringle was observed on Friday, 4/02/10, in Manatee Cove on the east coast of Indian River with about 19 other animals. He had patches of green algae and cold stress lesions. His respirations were normal except for a 15- minute period of fast, shallow breathing. He was again observed on Sunday, 4/04/10, and Monday, 4/05/10, in the same area. An in-water body condition assessment was obtained on Monday, 4/05/10, by Monica. Kringle had no longitudinal folds on his belly but did have latitude folds.

Kringle was captured on Tuesday, 4/06/10, by SeaWorld Orlando and Sea To Shore Alliance and transported to Miami Seaquarium. During the few days prior to capture he had stayed in Manatee Cove on Merritt Island, showing green algal growth, folds on his belly, and increased bouts of fast, shallow respirations.
