Snorty, Bo, and Douglas all deemed successfully rehabilitated
Snorty:
March 26, 2006: Snorty received his final health
assessment on Wednesday 3/22. He allowed us to catch him on the
first set at the south end of Lake Woodruff and workup was completed in less
than an hour. Snorty looked great and had gained 155 since his release
on 2/8/05. He had an extensive amount of backfat and his girth
measurements had also increased. Preliminary blood workup on sight
looked good. Snorty was released without any tracking equipment,
was wished well for his future endeavors and considered to have been
successfully rehabilitated.
Bo and Douglas:
April 7, 2006: Bo
and Douglas received their final health assessments yesterday. They
looked good and all equipment was removed.
They were located at
Princeton Canal flood structure with seven other animals (3 mother calf
pairs). We were able to catch Bo on the first set after driving him out
of the canal into the shallows. Douglas was captured on the second
set after he had moved out of the canal onto the shallows just at the
mouth of the canal.
We wish them good
fortunes for the future without their tracking jewelry. Thanks you to
MSQ, SWF and Dade County Derm for your efforts.
